Is Full Spectrum CBD Better Than Broad Spectrum CBD?

cannabis cocktailS well crafted, sophisticated cannabis cocktailS well crafted, sophisticated

As CBD products continue to grow in popularity, you might see some terminology that you are unfamiliar with, like full and broad-spectrum. Don’t worry, it’s not referring to your sun care routine (but while we’re here—please wear a hat—you’ll thank us later!). If you’re lost, you can look and you will find Flyers, time after time (shout out to all our Cindy Lauper fans). But honestly, we’ve got you covered.

What is Full Spectrum vs. Broad Spectrum CBD?

Pencils ready? Settle in for some (easy, we promise) science. Full-spectrum CBD contains naturally occurring cannabis compounds, such as terpenes and other cannabinoids—like very small amounts of THC (max 0.3% which is legal, meets the FDA and DEA standards of safety and is undetectable). Broad-spectrum CBD also contains cannabis compounds but are typically free of THC. This means the potential superpowers of the entourage effect (more on this below) may be reduced because all traces of THC are removed.

What is The Entourage Effect?

The entourage effect occurs when CBD products include other compounds found in cannabis— like THC and terpenes (these are your full-spectrum friends). Terpenes and THC play an important role in supporting how CBD works to affect your mind and body. Put simply, these ingredients work to maximize the benefits of full-spectrum CBD products, like Flyers sparkling cocktails, which can only mean a win for you.

Is Full Spectrum CBD Better?

When the ingredients in full-spectrum CBD products are taken in combination they work to deliver you a potentially better effect than when taken on their own. Think of them as CBD’s ultimate wingmen that help it to excel in your system.

What to Look for When Shopping Full Spectrum Products

We believe everyone is wonderfully unique (we’re looking at you, you lovely human) and it’s up to you to choose the products that’ll work best for your needs. When deciding between full and broad-spectrum products, you’ll want to make sure you understand the strengths (and weaknesses) of all your options. We suggest checking out the ingredients and keeping in mind that CBD and THC react very differently in your body. We also recommend looking for the manufacturer’s COA (Certificate of Analysis). This report will give you an analysis of the products so you can determine the grade, potency and purity. At Flyers, we pride ourselves on being fully transparent to you about the safety and integrity of each of our product runs. You can find our latest certified lab results here. We think that’s worth an A+ for us.
